Technology Laws

The World Wide Web is still in its infancy, and is in essence a constantly changing and evolving entity. Because of this, technology laws are also constantly changing and evolving to meet new technological demands and challenges. Current technology laws cover a wide range of topics, such as cybercrime, online copyright and trademark infringement, software and hardware development, Internet access, e-commerce, and online privacy. Attorneys with specific knowledge and experience with technology laws are often consulted by corporations and individuals when dealing with matters related to the Internet and technology in general. Rules and regulations regarding the use of technology often differ dramatically by location, as uniform laws have yet to be negotiated. Some countries have more relaxed regulations, while other countries may have very strict and specific technology laws. In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission and other government agencies are responsible for Internet regulations. State and Federal laws also cover technological matters.
