Privacy Internet Law

With regard to online privacy, Internet law is still continually debated, modified, and updated as the world wide web continues to grow and change. Most web users desire a certain amount of privacy when using the Internet, however personal information online is routinely collected and accessed by a variety of sources, both legal and unlawful. Both state and federal laws exist to protect web user's personal information online, however legal issues have yet to be fully resolved with regard to online privacy. Internet law protects against cybercrime, such as online identity theft and data theft, however web users should not assume that they are automatically protected when using the Internet Anyone using the Internet should take time to educate themselves about online privacy risks and take the necessary steps to protect themselves and their personal information. The privacy policies of online sites and software programs should be read before accepting the terms, and personal computers should be secured using anti-virus programs, anti-spyware programs and firewalls.
