Internet Copyright Protection

Because information posted on the Internet can be easily accessed by millions of people all over the world, copyright infringements are more common in cyberspace than in the off line world. The anonymity of the Internet also makes copyright infringement easier in many cases. A wide variety of media and other materials available on the Internet are protected by copyrights, including text, graphics and logos, audio and video, and many other unique elements. The abundance of easily obtainable copyrighted material on the web has led to a variety of new tactics relating to Internet copyright protection. Some web users take advantage of programs designed to limit what can be copied from a website. These programs may disable the "right click" copy option, disabling a web surfer's ability to copy specific items on a website. These programs are not foolproof however, and often web users must use legal means to enforce their rights under Internet copyright protection laws.
