Copywrite Infringement

Copyright infringement is defined as using someone's work or pictures without permission. Some examples of copyright infringement are downloading music, using or downloading photos, poems, or films and videos. Burning these files to a disc and giving the disc to a friend, or anyone who doesn't pay the owner directly, is a copyright infringement. If a student copies and pastes an article word for word, this is copyright infringement. If a person is found guilty of copyright infringement, there are very stiff penalties. If a company copies material, the consequences could be a court order to stop production of such items and the imposition of fines. The authorities have the right to confiscate any documents for use as evidence, and they also have the right to destroy it later. The person accused may also be sentenced to up to ten years in prison and have to pay the owner a stiff fine.
