Copyright Laws And Internet

As the world wide web changes and grows, so do copyright laws and Internet laws regarding other types of online activity. Copyright laws and Internet regulations also differ dramatically by location. Though the Internet is a global community, what is permissible in the United States may not be permissible in another country, and vice versa. Due to the varied laws and regulations in so many different nations, web users may sometimes base their operations in different parts of the world in order to get around the laws governing them at home. File sharing servers are often located in Eastern European countries, where different, often less strict laws apply. These varying regulations can cause difficulty regarding the enforcement of copyright and trademark violations. Copyright infringement that occurs in a different country may be harder to successfully stop, and legal help is often needed to navigate the complexities of copyright laws and Internet regulations.
