In the workplace, employers have the right to restrict and/or monitor company Internet usage in order to make sure their workers comply with company policy. Usually company Internet usage policies are given to employees in writing, and they may be asked to sign an agreement regarding the specific policy. The rules and regulations regarding company Internet usage often vary greatly, depending on the company. Employers may generally use their own discretion when creating policies relating to Internet usage.
